The info day targeted potential applicants to the calls for project proposals under the H2020 challenge ‘Secure, Clean and Efficient Energy’. The new Work Programme for 2016-2017 in the area of H2020 energy research was presented on 14 September, and in-depth sessions on various calls of the Work Programme were held on 15 September.
The Energy Challenge is structured around seven specific objectives and research areas:
- Reducing energy consumption and carbon footprint,
- Low-cost, low-carbon electricity supply,
- Alternative fuels and mobile energy sources,
- A single, smart European electricity grid,
- New knowledge and technologies,
- Robust decision making and public engagement,
- Market uptake of energy and ICT innovation.
