Within the framework of AdriGov project, funded through the EU program of Adriatic cross-border cooperation, organized by the Dubrovnik - Neretva County and Development Agency DUNEA, a study trip of the representatives of local governments and county services of Dubrovnik - Neretva County was held to Brussels.
On this occasion, the participants of the study tour visited the institutions of the European Union: Committee of the Regions, the European Parliament and had a working meeting with representatives of the European Commission, Directorate-General for Agriculture and Rural Development. Meetings were also held with the Ambassador Mato Škrabalo, in the headquarters of the Permanent Representation of the Republic of Croatia to the European Union where they discussed the current processes and opportunities of the EU funds and with Mario Nobilo the Ambassador at the Embassy of the Republic of Croatia in the Kingdom of Belgium.
During the visit, in cooperation of MEPs Dubravka Šuica , Andrej Plenković, and involved counties, a joint event was held at the representative office of Dubrovnik- Neretva County in Brussels, as well as the representation of the four Croatian counties: Istria, Karlovac, Brod - Posavina and Dubrovnik - Neretva County. In the same period of time, Open Days- Week of Regions and Cities 2015 were held in Brussels, more than 100 conferences, seminars and workshops brought together a large number of participants from all European regions and cities, and the participants of the study tour had the opportunity to participate in events within the program.
