
European Sustainable Energy Week EUSEW held 13th to 17th June 2016 in Brussels. A whole series of conferences dedicated to sustainable energy, gathered a considerable number of energy experts, government representatives, regions, civil society and media.
Welcoming speeches were given by Jyrki Katainen, Vice President of the European Commission responsible for employment, growth, investment and competitiveness, Miguel Arias Cañete, the European commissioner for climate action and energy, Monique Goyens, director of the International Agency for Sustainable Energy, and Theresa Griffin representative of the EU Parliament.
This year's Energy Days focused on the role of responsible consumers in the new Energy Community and the EU move towards its goals of sustainable energy in areas such as energy efficiency and funding through investment funds.
