MOOC 2018 RSZ

The European Committee of Regions is the first EU body that developed and delivered two free massive open online courses (MOOC), which reached more than 15,000 participants worldwide.
Building on this successful experience, the CoR is launching a third MOOC focusing on "How to make the most of EU resources for regions and cities".

The European Entrepreneurial Region (EER) is a project that identifies and rewards EU regions which show an outstanding and innovative entrepreneurial policy strategy, irrespective of their size, wealth and competences. The regions with the most credible, forward-thinking and promising vision plan are granted the label “European Entrepreneurial Region” (EER) for a specific year.

High level European Commission conference on the next multiannual financial framework

Budget and Human Resources Commissioner Günther H. Oettinger launched a high-level conference on ‘Shaping Our Future – Designing the Next Multiannual Financial Framework (MFF)’, which is hosted by the European Political Strategy Centre (EPSC), on 8 and 9 January.

The conferences were attended by senior EU representatives, including European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker, Vice-President of the Commission responsible for jobs, growth, investment and competitiveness Jyrki Katainen and Commissioner for Regional Policy Corina Creţa.

Bulgarian Presidency of the Council of the European Union

The Bulgarian Presidency of the Council of the European Union takes over on 1 January 2018.

The priorities of the Bulgarian presidency are driven by its motto: 'United we stand strong', which is also the motto of the coat of arms of the Republic of Bulgaria. The presidency will work with its partners on unity among the member states and the EU institutions to provide concrete solutions to build a stronger, more secure and solidary Europe.
